If you only have time for one walk, make it this one. Just a short stroll from the cabin, this loop takes you through the stunning Dalavich Ancient Oakwood.

The Route: A gentle 1.5 km loop that is perfect for a morning stretch or a pre-dinner wander.
The Vibe: This is a rare "Atlantic Rainforest." You’ll find yourself surrounded by ancient, gnarled oaks draped in rare lichens and vibrant ferns. It feels like stepping into a storybook.
For the Dogs: It’s a sensory paradise of forest scents and soft, mossy paths that are easy on the paws.

2. The Thundering Main Event: Avich Falls

For those wanting to see the raw power of the Highland landscape, Avich Falls is an absolute must, especially in March.

The Walk: Located in the Barnaline woods, follow the waymarked trails to the falls. It’s a manageable 2.5 km trip that rewards you with spectacular cascades.
